UCB Alizes, was the name chosen as for UCB Africa’s work in the Madagascar region. Alizes refers to the prevailing ocean winds in that part of the world.

theDoveIn 2000 Perry Atkinson, the Manager of the Christian station in Medford, came to New Zealand to speak at a UCB conference. He went home so impressed with the organisation that he soon bought back the station he was managing and became a UCB affiliate. theDove FM has continued to grow with repeaters beginning to cross the area.
Perry Atkinson is now a director of UCB International. He's the sharpest dresser on the Board and a strong advocate for the UCB ethos.
theDove radio station in Medford was the first affiliate in the States but definitely not the last.
