A Palavra Para Hoje
“Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it” Habakkuk 2:2 It’s very nice to be able to share with you every three months about the opportunities God has been giving us to communicate the vision of the Gospel of Jesus Christ here in Brazil and in the nations through UCB International. Right after we started to publish “The Word for Today” in our country, God gave us this Word, which is in the book of Habakkuk, pointing to us the route of UCB calling here in Brazil. Nowadays we are daily struck with the most different types of messages. Each one of them expresses a vision regarding the world and tries, at all costs, to draw our attention. Written down not on tablets, as in the times of prophet Habakkuk, today they are in the pages of millions of books, newspapers and magazines spread through the streets and in the outdoors. Attractive and sometimes frightening, these messages are written down in computer memories and in videos, ready to reach us at the simple pressing of one key. It is interesting to see that the greater the information on offer, the more the search for it intensifies. As more and more words circulate through the media, greater is our hunger for them. To be an instrument in God’s hands to quench this hunger is the essence of UCB Brazil’s calling.
