UCB Alizes, was the name chosen as for UCB Africa’s work in the Madagascar region. Alizes refers to the prevailing ocean winds in that part of the world.

UCB & the converging world
This year I have noticed a lot more talk and articles about social networking and how conventional media, if they don’t get on board, could become redundant to a growing group of digitally savvy people. While it’s the under 25’s who lead the charge, Facebook, linkdin, texting and other platforms, including the good old internet, are being embraced by “boomers” and “builders” as well.
Regional Strategy Meetings
UCB is presently holding regional strategy meetings as the first step in setting long term strategies for the global UCB mission. In the middle of March, Perry Atkinson, James Hunt and Hal Short met in Medford Oregon for a strategy meeting to clarify and write up a Regional Strategy for the Americas (including Canada).
